Who We Are

Arshad-Rowshan Welfare Trust is a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to serving humanity and uplifting marginalized and vulnerable communities in Bangladesh. The Trust was founded with a strong sense of social responsibility, inspired by the lifelong commitment of its Founder, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Arshad Ali, whose charitable work began in his ancestral areas of Rajbari District. Following his retirement from the University of Dhaka in 2006, he and his family actively expanded their community-based initiatives, including the establishment of orphanages and support for various social welfare programs. To strengthen and institutionalize these efforts, the Trust was formally registered on 20 October 2010 under the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh. Since then, Arshad-Rowshan Welfare Trust has been working to improve access to education, healthcare, shelter, and sustainable livelihood opportunities, with a focus on creating long-term positive impact for disadvantaged populations.
